Individual will provide a central role for all Engineering Department administrative related matters at HRSD's Main Office at 1434 Air Rail Avenue, Virginia Beach

Brief Description:

Under broad guidance, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for:
a. Performing a wide variety of administrative assignments in support of the Engineering Department
b. Meets the Mission, Vision and Values of HRSD and the specific needs of the department as defined in the Engineering Department Mission Statement.
Job Requirements:
a. Education
1. Required: Must have a High School diploma or GED 
2. Desired: Associates degree in Business Administration or related field
b. Experience
Required: Three to five years experience in business office administration with increasing responsibilities 
c. Job-specific Technical Competencies
1. Required
a) Broad functional knowledge of modern office practices and equipment
b) Effective skill in written and oral communication necessary
c) Strong administrative and clerical skills 
d) Working knowledge of software application (MS Office) to produce documents, spreadsheets, data entry and graphs
e) Demonstrated ability to organize records, files and statistical data and follow directions
f) Ability to develop highly effective working relationships with all HRSD employees
d. Special Licenses
Required: Valid driver’s license from state of residence
