The U.S. District Court is currently recruiting for an Audio/Visual Specialist. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
•Administration and Support of the Court’s A/V systems and projects as well as providing courtroom, chambers and Clerk’s Office support of A/V needs. .
• Routine Troubleshooting of the court’s various A/V systems and provides technical and administrative support to Judges/chambers and Clerk’s Office staff.
• Works closely with IT Director and other stake holders to coordinate the planning, design, acquisition, installation, configuration and administration of a wide array of digital systems that support the courthouses’ Audio/Visual needs. These systems include electronic recording, video recording, video conferencing, video broadcasting and teleconferencing.
• Day to day administration of all digital broadcast elements..
• Serves as instructor for non-technical staff on courtroom technology techniques.
• Establishes, coordinates and maintains support plans for all A/V systems and equipment.
- Provides on-site repair, configuration, adjustments, troubleshooting and replacement of A/V equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining software to enhance system operations.
- Monitors all A/V equipment for security risks.
- Ability to identify and evaluate needs, conduct research from all available sources, develop proposed solutions and implement programs as required
- Knowledge of the following systems preferred: Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco videoconferencing systems.
- Preferred AMX certification or ability to obtain certification within 2-3 months of start date.
- Experience in support of mobile devices such as iPhone, iPads and notebooks.
- Ability to provide support during non-business hours as required for projects or special events.
Mustpossess a minimum of two (2) years of specialized experience, defined as implementation, configuration, maintenance and support of A/V technology that provided knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques of A/V systems, digital recording, cabling & infrastructure, network concepts, computer hardware and software, etc. Salary is $59,564 - $116,237 DOE w/ full benefits.
